The majority of our work is completed in solvent-based finishes of either conversion varnish or 2-part polyurethane. Conversion varnish is used for less critical applications such as millwork, wall units, and bookcases. Polyurethane is used for areas that will get a lot of use such as kitchens and baths as well as commercial applications. Both finishes are available in both clear and pigmented forms, and in different sheens.
In addition to solvent-based finishes, we also offer water-based finishes in lacquer, polyurethane, and latex paint. These are typically used for doors, windows, trim, and on-site work where chemical fumes would be an issue.
Staying current on ever-changing finishing techniques and materials is a big part of providing a quality finish. We offer custom color matching in both stain/clear finishes and opaque “paint” finishes. We also offer specialty finishes such as glaze, multi-color, and antiquing.
